The patient became septic and suffered multiple organ failure, including the kidneys that did not recover. The new standard was hemodialyses as well as peritoneal dialysis. After an eighteen-day stay in the hospital Angelica nearly died and then on a road towards recuperation. Angelica's entire life was transformed after she was diagnosed with kidney dialysis. Angelica's mom was the only one who could donate an organ. Angelica Hale and her mother had a kidney transplantation in Emory University Hospital in Atlanta and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston on September 13th 2013. Angelica Hale pursued her dream of being a star for years after.
